Pack for every extreme -- literally.  Leaving Little Rock, it will probably be in the low 70's.  By the time we get to Flagstaff, the highs will be in the 50's.  When we get to Vegas, expect temps in the 80's.

Along the way to Las Vegas, we will be staying primarily in roadside motels -- think Quality Inn or Super 8.  In Vegas, we will either rent an AirBNB or stay at a hotel downtown or along the strip.  On the way back, there will be a mix of chain motels and mom-and-pop places, depending on the location.  Until November 1, 2023, this info is likely to change.

While nearly impossible to give you a precise number, in my experience, pre-pandemic and pre-inflation, one should budget about $75/day for fuel, another $50 or so for food, and whatever else for fun.  I am trying to keep our hotels between $60 and $100 per night.  So on the high end, $225/day.  At 11 days, that's about $2,500.  For a couple, I would estimate between $3,000 and $3,500.  These estimated don't include admissions, gifts and purchases, or other discretionary spending.

You are awesome!  Thanks for your help.  Planning these things is fun, but with groups, it's impossible for everyone to do everything they want -- esepcially when the planner has no idea what the group wants to do.  To make a suggestion, or otherwise discuss the trip, please see the discussion section below.

At this time, only members of 501Riders.com who ride with the group regularly are invited.  Invitations to RSVP will be sent out sometime in April 2023.  Members MUST register no later than November 1, 2023.  Hotels must be booked no later than November 1, 2023.  Deposits, if any, will be due no later than April 15, 2024.

No money will be due to 501Riders up front.  You may have to pay a deposit for your hotel rooms, depending on how and what you book.  If there are any advance ticket purchases or deposits for activities, those will be due no later than April 15, 2024.

First, visit 501Riders.com and then in the my rides section, simply cancel your booking to this event.  You are responsible for cancelling your own hotel reservations.  Refunds for hotel deposits are at the discretion of the hotel itself.  Any deposits paid to 501Riders for any reason can be fully refunded up to 60 days prior to KSU.  Partial refunds will be provided for requests given within 30 to 60 days of KSU.  No refunds will be givin within 30 days of KSU.  If we choose to use AirBNB, you will not receive a refund for any deposits made for the AirBNB.
